Building Financial Confidence Since 2019
We started Xylar Folux because too many people felt intimidated by investing. Six years later, we're still here helping folks in Ireland understand their money better.
The Journey That Shaped Us
Back in 2019, our founder was sitting in a Cork café listening to a friend express frustration about investing. "It's all jargon," they said. "Nobody explains it in plain English." That conversation stuck.
What started as informal coffee chats about budgets and index funds grew into something bigger. We realized that investment education didn't need to be complicated — it just needed to be honest. So we built Xylar Folux around that idea.
Today, we work with people across Ireland who want straightforward guidance on budget investing. No fancy promises. Just practical approaches to building financial stability over time.
What Drives Our Work
These aren't corporate buzzwords. They're the principles that shape every conversation we have with clients.
Plain Language
Investment terminology can sound like a foreign language. We translate it into words that actually make sense, because understanding your options shouldn't require a finance degree.
Realistic Expectations
Markets go up and down. We talk openly about risk, timelines, and what budget investing can actually achieve. No hype, no guarantees — just honest assessments.
Long-Term Thinking
Building wealth takes patience. We focus on strategies that work over years, not weeks. Quick wins rarely lead to lasting financial security.
Meet Brónach
Brónach Lenaghan joined us in early 2022 after spending seven years in retail banking. She got tired of seeing customers confused by investment products that were supposedly "designed for them."
Now she leads our educational workshops across Cork and beyond. Her approach? Start with what people already know about saving, then build from there. No assumptions about prior knowledge.
"Most people already have good instincts about money. They just need someone to validate those instincts and show them how investing fits into what they're already doing."
— Brónach Lenaghan, Financial Education SpecialistShe's particularly passionate about helping first-time investors understand index funds and ETFs. When she's not working, you'll find her hiking around West Cork or experimenting with sourdough recipes.
How We Actually Work
Our process isn't revolutionary. It's just methodical, patient, and focused on what you need rather than what sounds impressive.
Start With Your Situation
Everyone's financial picture looks different. We spend time understanding where you are now — your budget, goals, timeline, and comfort with risk. This isn't a sales pitch; it's a conversation.
Build Knowledge First
Before discussing specific investment options, we make sure you understand the fundamentals. How markets work, what diversification means, why fees matter. This foundation helps you make informed choices.
Explore Realistic Options
Based on your budget and goals, we walk through approaches that might fit. We discuss pros, cons, and realistic outcomes. You decide what makes sense for your situation.
Ongoing Support
Markets change. Life circumstances shift. We stay available for questions, adjustments, and those moments when financial news sounds alarming. Think of us as a resource you can return to.
Ready to Learn More?
